HOPE Electrical Products Co., Inc. offers top-quality industrial conduit junction boxes suitable for both flush, surface, and direct mounting. Our standard conduit boxes do not include pre-drilled holes, but we offer custom tapping and drilling services to meet the exact conduit entry size requirements.
This customization ensures a precise fit for most National Pipe Thread (NPT) conduits, from smaller ½ in. trade sizes to larger 4 in. diameters. Proper mounting is essential for maintaining the integrity of the enclosure. Options include external mounting lugs or internal mounting buttons that do not compromise the interior’s NEMA rating.
Common Layouts for Conduit Routing
HOPE Electrical junction boxes serve as the main connection point for various conduit routing setups. By keeping wire connections and splices inside a rated enclosure, they help prevent insulation damage, making future maintenance and troubleshooting easier. These boxes also maintain the electrical and physical integrity of the raceway system at key transition points, keeping wiring organized, safe, and code-compliant.
HOPE’s UL Listed Conduit-Ready Boxes
HOPE Electrical Products’ conduit-ready boxes meet all compliance and safety standards. They are verified by third-party UL certification, reduce electrical risks, and protect against environmental hazards like water, moisture, dust, and debris.

Material and Threading Options Available
We offer conduit junction boxes in multiple materials and with different features to meet application requirements. Options include:
- Cast iron. This material provides maximum durability and mechanical strength, and has vibration-dampening properties.
- Cast aluminum. This non-sparking, non-magnetic, lightweight material is also naturally corrosion resistant (with the exception of alkalis). Note that if they are encased in concrete, aluminum boxes should be coated.
- Drilling and tapping. HOPE can tap and drill enclosures to make precise internal threads for cable glands and conduit fittings.
- Bosses. These are often used for applications that require more secure, deeper threading. It is possible to add cast bosses for five threads to the enclosure wall.
Ideal Use Cases: Bridges & Roads
Our electrical conduit junction boxes are built for demanding environments, making them ideal for bridges, tunnels, highways, and other transportation infrastructure. They provide consistent protection against dust, impact, and moisture, keeping critical wiring safe in exposed or high-traffic areas.
- Bridges and roads. On bridges, overpasses, and roadway lighting systems, NEMA 3R and NEMA 4 enclosures safeguard wiring from rain, snow, sleet, and hose-directed water. NEMA 4X enclosures offer additional corrosion resistance for coastal bridges or areas exposed to deicing salts and harsh weather.
- Tunnels and transportation facilities. For tunnels, underpasses, and maintenance buildings, NEMA 12 enclosures protect against dust, dirt, and dripping non-corrosive liquids, ensuring long-term reliability of electrical systems in these challenging conditions.
