Conduit entrances should be shown on a sketch like one on right with size marked for each entrance.
Conduit spacings between centers and distance up from back to center of hole must be given. See tables on lower right. When not indicated accurately by sketch, holes will be located according to our experience and discretion.

Type of entrance should be specified:
(a) Drilled only (slip hole)
(b) Drilled and tapped (D & T)
(c) Bossed, drilled and tapped (five threads)
(d) Bossed only for (specify maximum) conduit

Mounting lugs must be specified when required. Standard spacing consists of two lugs on each long side to shop standard. Special locations by quotation.

Note: H3200-T terminal boxes, HD5400, HD5600 and HD6000 heavy duty boxes, and H5400, H5600 and H6000 explosion gutters and housings have mounting lugs included in standard construction.

Interior Mounting Buttons should be indicated and spaced on back panel of sketch. State screw size. Buttons are usually 3/8″ high and 3/4″ in diameter. Larger sizes can be supplied at no increase in cost.

Special Gaskets must be specified.

Plain brass, or checkered bronze covers for H6200, H7000 and
H8000 boxes must be clearly stated.

Bronze Hinges are not standard on HD6000 or H6000 boxes and must be ordered when required. See schedule B.

Hinge location on H3200, H3200-T, H5500 and H8200 type boxes is always on long dimension, right side, when facing the box. Consider their position when making a conduit layout.
